Materials

Natural fibres.
Nothing else.

Every garment we make is cut from natural fibre. As the collection grows into new categories, that rule comes with it and whatever we make next, it will be natural.

Our position

We are anti-polyester.

Polyester is cheap, it resists creasing, and it is everywhere. It is also plastic. So it has no place in anything we make, not as a main fabric, and not hidden in a blend.

What you will never find in a HOM garment

  • PolyesterPlastic, spun into fibre
  • Poly-blendsCotton cut with polyester to cut cost
  • Nylon & acrylicThe same idea, different plastic
  • ElastaneStretch that wears out before the cloth does

Why natural

It breathes

Natural fibres let air and moisture move. Synthetics hold heat against the skin and the wrong trade for Indian summers.

No plastic in the wash

Synthetic garments shed microplastic fibres every time they are washed. Cotton and linen don't.

It ages honestly

Cotton holds its colour and shape with care; linen grows softer with every wash. Neither pretends to be something else.

It returns to the earth

Natural fibres break down at the end of their life. Polyester stays with us for centuries.

Cotton

100% combed cotton

Combing removes the short fibres. What's left is smoother, stronger and softer and it stays that way, wash after wash. Never blended, never mixed with polyester.

We knit it to a substantial 220 GSM, real weight and structure, opaque even in white and light grey, where most fast-fashion T-shirts sit at 140–160 GSM. Then it is bio-washed, for a soft, worn-in feel and deep, lasting colour.

Linen

100% pure linen, 60 Lea

Linen is spun from flax, and ours is European flax. Lea measures how fine the yarn is: the higher the number, the finer and softer the fabric. At 60 Lea it is softer, lighter and more breathable than standard linen.

Linen is the strongest natural fibre. It breathes better than cotton, absorbs moisture without feeling damp, and gets softer with every wash. It creases and that is part of its character.

New categories. Same rule.

Cotton and linen are where we started, not where we stop. Every new category we add will be held to the same standard: natural fibre, made with intention, and never polyester.
